Some of our RSL-AZ Southern Arizona boys recently took part in the UC Santa Barbara residential ID camp in Santa Barbara, CA. The boys worked with the UCSB staff along with other coaches from m multiple universities and even a premier league scout.
The boys represented the club well and our one of our 03 boys Luis was named the player of the camp. He scored a beautiful free kick and a bicycle to bring his team back from a 2-0 deficit in the championship match. As a residential camp the boys got to experience a taste of campus life and what it is like to train with college staff on college facilities. We are committed to creating opportunities for players from Tucson and across Southern Arizona to be seen by college coaches and scouts. Big thanks to our new coach Meir for helping setup the camps. We will be working on additional ID camp opportunities for the coming year.
