Competitive Programs

The Real Salt Lake AZ program is our competitive soccer program. Each age group is represented beginning with U9 through U19, boys and girls. Due to the available talent and demand of the program, there may be multiple teams in each age group.

The emphasis in the RSL AZ program is on player development and the development of the whole team. While winning is important, our main focus is on development. Through this development, we’ve been able to build one of the strongest, deepest, and largest clubs in Arizona. At the top level, we consistently have at least one team in every one of the top 24 divisions in the U7-U19 boys and girls age groups. Some teams even go on to compete at the national level.

Players are introduced to high levels of play with professional coaching with training two to three times per week.

Teams compete in Pima County Junior Soccer League (PCJSL), Arizona Premier League (APL), Arizona State League (ASL), and even US National League depending on the level of the team. Teams also play in a number of tournaments throughout the state, and may go out of state as well. At the end of the year (April-May), many of these teams participate in the State Cup or the Presidents Open Cup Tournament and have chance to play in the Far West Regionals and the National Championships.

RSL AZ PHILOSOPHY: The RSL AZ program is dedicated to developing top-rated soccer players at the highest levels of competition, and to prepare individual players for high school, collegiate, and professional competition. To accomplish these goals, we have developed a style of play that runs throughout all the teams and is reached by developing “Complete Players” in a “Total Soccer” concept. The team practices are a combination of a competitive and fun teaching environment, based on age-appropriate curriculum. These methods develop a players and teams ability to score goals, implement strategies, develop a competitive mentality, strengthen teamwork, and generate a passion for the game.
