DEVELOPMENT PLAYER LEAGUE
We are a standards driven national league connected to the Girls Academy that will encourage clubs to compete and grow, maximizing the development of their players. By creating a cohesive framework in line with the most dynamic organizations in the country, where nothing is given and everything earned, we will raise the bar in youth soccer… together.
Our top APL teams get the opportunity to compete in the USYS Desert Conference against the best teams in the region. The Desert Conference includes, Nevada, Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona. Again, we are the only club in the Tucson area with teams in both the girls and boys Desert Conference events. Games are generally played in Phoenix at the Desert Conference Fall Showcase and at the Desert Conference Spring Showcase in Las Vegas, with 1 additional in state game to complete the schedule. #earnyourplace

Teams must compete in State League in order to be eligible for State Cup or USYS Desert Conference. Both APL and ASL will continue to see many enhancements in 2021/22 to better align with US Soccer’s Player Development Initiatives and ASA’s Development Strategy. In partnership with New Mexico, Socal and Nevada the state has some exciting new initiatives ahead.
