Technical Director
● Link between Board and coaching department
● Responsible for day-to-day operations
● Soccer and business background
● Assist in marketing, fundraising, and overall administration of the Club
● Relationship with DOC is critical
Ideal Candidate

● Understands the landscape of soccer in Arizona, particularly Southern Arizona

● Good interpersonal skills
● Licensing preferred but not mandatory : UEFA C, USSF B, USC Premier or
Equivalent Experience
● Coaching experience for more than 5 Years at the youth level
● Experience in coaching at the State, Regional and National levels.
● Other relevant qualifications will be considered.
Director of Coaching ( DOC)
The DOC will be responsible for recruiting, developing and assessing coaching staff. He will
oversee all programs and level of play. He will be responsible for coaching education and serve
as a mentor to all coaches.
Other responsibilities of the DOC
● Report to the Executive Director and the Board
● He will help provide resources and support to the coaching staff.
● Manages tryout process
● Select the coaching staff for each age group.
● Represent the club at the State, Regional and National level
● Review and update training program
● Coordinate training schedule and field usage.
Ideal Candidate
● Possess a ‘development first’ mentality
● High standards personally and professionally
● Diplomatic, responsive, reachable and has perseverance
● Strong convictions on player development
● Willing to teach and share his knowledge with younger coaches while continuing
to learn himself.
● Licensing preferred but not mandatory : UEFA C, USSF B, USC Premier or
Equivalent Experience.
● Coaching experience for more than 5 Years at the youth level
● Experience in coaching at the State, Regional and National levels.
● Other relevant qualifications will be considered.
Role of the Age Group Coordinator (AGC)
The age group coordinator is responsible for communication with the coaches in their
assigned age group. The Coordinator will help the DOC in choosing and placing the
coaches on individual teams. After the coaches are finalized, the AGC will help coaches
build a roster for each individual team in their age group.
Responsibilities of the Age Group Coordinator
● Mentor coaches in their age group.
● Make sure the RSL curriculum is implemented.
● Make sure the players are at a developmentally appropriate level.
● Facilitate communications between and across their assigned age groups.
● Supervise mobility of the players between and across age groups.
● Serve as a mediator and help the DOC resolve conflict within the age
group.
● Regularly scheduled meetings with the DOC.

● Willing to share his knowledge and experience with younger coaches.
● Willing to continue to learn and develop as a coach.
● Licensing preferred but not mandatory : UEFA C, USSF C, USC Advance National or
Equivalent Experience.
● Coaching experience for more than 5 Years at the youth level.
● Other relevant qualifications will be considered.
Team Coaches
Coaches should provide a safe, healthy and fun environment for the practice and play of soccer.
They will be responsible for communicating with the team. They will be expected to follow the
RSL curriculum and report to their AGC and the DOC. They will be required to attend 75 % of
the coaches meetings. They are expected to follow the code of conduct and treat players,
parents, and colleagues with respect.

collegiate level or higher.
